Shipping & Delivery Policy
Delivery options, timeframes, and conditions for orders placed with MYTY Auto Parts.
MYTY Auto Parts ships throughout South Africa and to several neighbouring countries. The sections below outline available delivery options, timeframes, areas served, and the conditions that apply.
1. Delivery Options
Local Express Delivery
- Available within 20km of a MYTY Auto Parts branch, with a target turnaround of 90 minutes from order confirmation.
Free Delivery (Coming Soon)
- Applies to all orders over R2,000 to standard destinations.
- Free shipping applies to standard-sized items only. Oversized, heavy-duty, or bulky items are excluded and may incur additional courier charges. Customers are encouraged to request a custom shipping quote prior to placing an order for such items.
- Free delivery applies to main provincial city centres only. Remote areas are excluded unless serviced by the designated courier.
- Orders qualifying for free shipping are dispatched within 2 to 7 business days after payment reflects.
- If a correctly supplied item is returned, a handling fee applies and return shipping is for the buyer's account.
Standard Courier Delivery
- MYTY Auto Parts chooses between Overnight Delivery and Economy Freight for standard orders.
- If a customer specifies a particular mode of transport, any additional cost is for the customer's account.
- On free delivery purchases, customers may arrange their own courier to speed up delivery, provided this is planned with MYTY Auto Parts in advance. No compensation is offered for such self-arranged courier collections.
2. Delivery Timeframes
- Metropolitan areas: standard courier timeframes apply.
- Regional areas (more than 50 km from a metropolitan area): 1 to 2 business days.
- Remote areas (more than 100 km from a metropolitan area): 3 to 7 business days.
- International orders: 14 to 30 working days, subject to courier and customs clearance.
- Delivery times exclude weekends and public holidays. Weekend or public holiday deliveries can be arranged at additional cost.
- Delivery dates are estimates only and time of delivery is not of the essence. The buyer may cancel an order without liability if delivery is more than 30 days late.
- Overnight deliveries can occasionally be delayed due to circumstances on the courier's side. MYTY Auto Parts cannot be held responsible for such delays.
3. Excluded and Restricted Areas
The following are excluded from standard delivery and may attract additional charges or require special arrangements:
- Mines, plots, farms, and game reserves.
- National parks, universities, and power stations.
- Other rural areas requiring special trips.
To avoid extra charges, customers may elect to collect their goods from the nearest Post Office, courier depot, or PostNet branch in their region.
4. International Shipping
MYTY Auto Parts ships to neighbouring countries including Namibia, Botswana, Swaziland (Eswatini), Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Malawi, Kenya, and the rest of Africa, except areas affected by civil unrest. Courier arrangements for international shipments are made by the buyer.
Insurance is not included on international shipments. Customers are encouraged to request insurance if needed.
5. Receiving Your Order
- Inspect goods on receipt before signing the courier's documents.
- Confirm the correct quantity has been received and that items are free of damage.
- Any damage or shortage must be reported on the waybill at the time of delivery to avoid delays in processing claims.
- Written notice of non-delivery must be provided within 5 days of the date the goods would ordinarily have been received.
6. Risk, Insurance and Ownership
- Risk in the goods passes to the buyer upon delivery.
- Title in the goods remains with MYTY Auto Parts until the invoice is paid in full.
- Buyers must insure goods against theft or damage until the price has been paid in full.
- Insurance is not automatically included. Customers may request insurance if needed.
7. Failed or Refused Deliveries
- If the buyer fails to take delivery at the agreed time, MYTY Auto Parts may cancel or suspend further deliveries and charge for any loss suffered.
- If goods cannot be delivered, MYTY Auto Parts may store them, or have them stored by a third party, at the buyer's cost.
